private botanical dye events to create a fun dye piece together
At Green Eyes, we believe that connection and care are essential for healthy communities. Mutual support and community art making are beautiful ways to honor the joy and grief life brings, wrap a loved one in support, take a momentary pause for a life transition, or just have fun and silliness together. During these events, Kelly will guide your group through the basics of botanical dyes, and each person will create their own piece to take home.
Each event will be tailored to your needs and vision, whether it be to celebrate a birthday, honor a new mother, enjoy a special time with friends or co-workers, show support for someone in need, or anything in between. These types of events are perfect for trips with friends, corporate retreats or staff meetings, baby showers, or bachelorette parties.
Prices for a 2.5-hour private workshop are $75 per person with a 10-person / $750 minimum*. Each person will leave with a hand-dyed piece (such as a silk scarf), an instructional booklet, and an introduction to botanical dyeing. This event can either come to your home or office, be hosted outside at Kelly’s home studio (in the warmer months), or at a local business*. For more information, please get in touch below!
*Prices may vary depending on the specific workshop of interest and number of participants. If the location is outside of Boone, there will also be an additional fee for mileage and travel time.
Interested in working together? Fill out some info, and we will be in touch shortly to discuss options for your special occasion. We can’t wait to hear from you!

“Kelly was incredibly well prepared, knowledgeable, and such a wonderful teacher. The entire experience felt magical—especially the moment when the scarves were steamed and we unraveled them. Every single person ended up with a gorgeous scarf because Kelly guided us so thoughtfully through each step. I truly loved the experience.”

Kelly Pierson is a gifted teacher. Her explanation of the dyeing process and all the botanicals she brought for us to experiment with, made the class something special. The natural dye class was not only educational but a whole lot of fun. Taking home a unique and beautiful scarf was the highlight!”
